Stories shape the identity and culture of our communities and organisations. The stories that matter, the stories that paint a picture of what is valuable to an organisation need to be kept at the forefront of communal consciousness. This requires a thoughtful and intentional approach. In today's fast-paced world, amidst demands and crises, our precious stories can be lost or diminished.
Defining Stories offers a narrative consultation and inquiry into organisational wellbeing. Working collaboratively with the ‘knowledge holders’ such as staff and volunteers, we can begin to identify the stories that speak to a mutual sense of identity, values, and ethics. This collaborative work and training seeks to generate insider knowledge through a transparent and reflective practice.
The information gleaned from the consultation can inform a rebranding exercise, the shaping of culture, clarity in relation to organisational values and ethics, strategic planning, and the collection of precious stories for legacy and communication purposes.
Please contact me if you are interested in organising a time to discuss the unique needs and desired outcomes for your organisation and/or community.
Below is a sample of organisational training hosted by Nicole. Most of these are either half or full day programmes. Please contact her to discuss the specific needs for your community:
"Telling stories that define moments in organisational history has the effect of charging the imagination with ideas, and either translates or reinvents those ideas into a sought-after future."
